Razzle Puppy Update
Thursday May 27, 2010
Razzle’s puppies will be 4 weeks old tomorrow! I will be going to visit Razzle and her pups next weekend and will hopefully have a bunch of video and pictures.
Here’s a couple of pictures taken earlier in the week of “sleeping” puppies, except for a couple of rebels!

Confident Mamma Razzle
Friday May 07, 2010
Just one of those too cute pictures if you can get past the poor girls c-section incision! It would appear that Razzle is taking motherhood in stride! The puppies look nice and plump and looks like a few are napping on her tail!
Hope Razzle isn’t bored as she has about another 6 weeks of this!

Razzle has 6 Beautiful Puppies!
Monday May 03, 2010
On April 30th Razzle delivered 6 healthy pups!
There are 3 girls and 3 boys. 4 of the 6 puppies are Red & Whites. 2 Girls are Red, 1 Girl Black and 2 Boys Red and 1 Boy Black.
The winner of my Tim’s card give away was Catherine R. She was actually the first to send in a guess.
You can see all the pictures of the litter here or visit the puppies on the Rival Kennel’s Website

Razzle on her Due Date!
Thursday April 29, 2010
Still no action today, but hopefully will have an update tomorrow. Below is a picture Margaret took of Razzle this morning. Note the “Belly Buzz”

Countdown
Monday April 26, 2010
Well I guess the countdown begins!
Razzle is safely in Margaret’s hands to have her puppies this week. I’d say she made herself quite at home, digging through Margaret’s toy box to find every tennis ball in the house, and picking a fine leather chair as her spot (see picture below).
I’ve updated all the guesses for the puppy pool on the entry below. If some of you have guessed the same I’ll just do a quick little name draw. Some of you listed R&W, B&W, Males to Females and numbers. My intention was for everyone to only have to guess the total number of pups and the number of B&W over R&W. So some of you are over achievers!

Pregnant Razzle
Sunday April 18, 2010
Razzle puppies are due April 29th and thought I would do a puppy pool. I’m offering a $20.00 Tim Horton’s card to the person that guesses the correct number of puppies and the correct number of Black & White and Red & White puppies she has. You can send me your guess either via Facebook or my e-mail on this website.
I’ll post the guess on this page as they come in, so we don’t get duplicates.
So here’s the background and some pictures of Razzle about 12 days away from her due date.
Certainly not my best photography, but here goes:

- Pictures taken with 12 days to go
- Ultra sound showed at least 4 puppies, but 2 vets think she is very full of puppies
- She came from a litter of 10

Razzle & Divot
Thursday March 11, 2010
On February 24th, Razzle, Fixx and I took a road trip to Texas!
The purpose of our trip was to bred Razzle to Divot and Fixx came along for the ride and to show off some frisbee tricks, play a bit of flyball and meet her daddy Divot!
Razzle liked her boyfriend and we hope to see very pretty puppies around April 29th. You can see all the details at Rival Kennels
Below is a picture of Razzle and Divot and also an amazing picture of Fixx playing disc in a Dallas park. I also fit in a very nice visit with my brother in Houston.

I put together this short video that I call “Razzle Trailer”. It is a highlight video of Razzle playing all her sports from this past summer, fall and early winter. Enjoy

January Spencerville Agility Trial
Wednesday February 17, 2010
On January 30th Razzle and I headed to Spencerville to try and finish up her Starters Agility Title. We did just that placing 1st in all three Standard runs and earning two Q’s. A very narrow miss with a dropped bar in her jumpers run. Below is video of 3 of her 4 runs.
Flyball in January
Wednesday February 17, 2010
Jake, Razzle Trek and I travelled to Montreal for a 1 Day Flyball tournament hosted by Dogzworth on January 17th. Razzle and Trek shared a spot again and Jake share with his friend Holly on FBI’s second team. It was a great day and everyone had fun. Razzle ran her little heart out again. You can catch some footage of her running on the following video.

Razzle ran 4 events earning Q’s in 3 of them. She earned her second Starter’s Gamblers leg with 98 points and a best run. She also placed first in the Starters Standard run and second in her very first steeplechase runs.
See a video of Razzle’s runs here
Fixx earned another Master’s jumpers leg and Mattie earned herself a Masters Jumpers and Standard leg.

Batavia Flyball October 17/18
Tuesday October 20, 2009
What a great weekend I had with my Team mates in Batavia NY. There was lots of shopping, haircutting and eating in addition to great flyball.
Our FBI team of Razzle/Trek, Drake, Holly/Ben & Ruckus placed first in Regular 2.
Razzle & Trek continue to improve every tournament. Razzle is now running many 4.0’s and Trek is now running many 3.9’s with his best being a very low 3.92! I really think Trek may have a 3.8 in his future.
Ruckus was our height dog and ran all 10 races handled by “New York” Kathy. He did a fine job the entire weekend and his speed is approaching his old times pre addisions.

Morning Star Starters Agility October 11th
Tuesday October 20, 2009
Razzle and I had a little holiday at the Morningstar agility trial. I say holiday, as I went with only Razzle and it was so easy and fun running only 1 dog for a change.
Starters of course is a blast too when you are used to trying to remember Master courses.
This was Razzle’s second trial. She had one bar in her jumpers run and a very nice Standard Run earning a Q & Best Run! Snooker was “snooker gone wrong” and we had a silly off course in her second standard run. The little monkey did well though and loved every minute of it. She is a very happy dog no matter where she is!

All Dogs/OVBCC September Trial
Tuesday September 22, 2009
The girls went to play agility on September 12 & 13 at All Dogs Sports Club. They all had a great weekend. I took home 12 Q ribbons between the 3 of them! Roo had the best haul earning 7 Q’s, Fixx 4, and Razzle 1.
This was Razzle’s agility Trial debut and she looked great! I entered her in just 3 events (2 jumpers and 1 standard) to test the waters as they say
I was very impressed by the little monkey and she had an absolute ball. So we’re signed up for a few more fall trials now and will see what she can do!

Carp Flyball August 8th & 9th
Friday August 21, 2009
Had a great time playing flyball after the stressful National agility weekend.
Razzle posted her first 4.0! Hopefully we will see more of those as she races more. She was running very consistent 4.1’s on Saturday and I knew she’d have a 4.0 in her Sunday morning. Fixx shared with Razzle and ran very well too.
Jake ran for my friend Vivienne. He loved it as always and was a great dog for a new handler.
Ruckus made is debut again after is spring addisons crisis, and shaved almost a full second off his previous times.
Trek did his first warmup on Saturday and looked good!
Our open team finished in 2nd place and our regular 1 team in 3rd place.

UFli Flyball Tournament July 4th & 5th
Thursday August 20, 2009
Flyball Insanity hosted their very first U-fli tournament in Navan in July. I am Captain of this team so we were busy being hosts and also running our dogs. We entered two teams and Jake’s team finished in First place in Division one with a new team best time of 17.581. Our second team, where Razzle and Fixx shared a spot also finished in 1st place.
Razzle ran in single dog racing trying to better her time from the spring and did this that. She posted a 4.1

Rock The Dock
Friday July 10, 2009
On July 1st (Canada Day) Razzle and Trek went dock diving for the first time. They were both naturals jumping in with no hesitation. Razzle had a best jump of 16.8 feet and Trek a best of just over 12ft.
It was a great day with the two of them. They are such well behaved dogs and both loved every minute of the event. Trek Pictured below.

May Long Weekend Flyball at Trenton
Tuesday June 02, 2009
Roo, Jake, Razzle and Trek had a fun filled weekend in Trenton on the May long weekend! Trek came along not to play yet, but to absorb the atmosphere. He was great and loves everything and everyone. He managed to get a swim in too with a bunch of his team mates.
The racing was good and our teams finished well. Our “Open” team with our ringer height dog “Toby” won the open 2 division. Our regular team placed second just behind our good friends “Slipstream”.
This was Razzle’s first full tournament and she ran her little heart out. It was a two ring tournament and very exciting to her. She had only one meltdown when we switched rings and lanes on Saturday, but recovered well. On Sunday she is fine form clocking several 4.2’s in start and a 4.1 in the very last race over the day. Quite good for the little girl running 10 inch jumps for the first time.

April U-fli in Carp
Thursday April 30, 2009
Jake, Fixx, Razzle and Roo all had a fantastic time at the u-fli tournament in Carp hosted by Paws On Fire last weekend.
Razzle ran some great singles times and also ran in the team lineup a few times. The little monkey is looking pretty good. Roo backed up dogs and Fixx ran in her first tournament since her injury last July. Jake had fun as always.
With 10 races per team along with singles and pairs, I had quite the tired pups by Sunday night. Me too...I actually went to bed at 8pm!

Montreal Dogzwoth Flyball
Tuesday March 17, 2009
On Sunday March 15th, I packed up most of the gang including John and headed to Montreal for a 1 day flyball tournament. FBI ran an open team in which Roo had a full time spot and Razzle had a warmup spot.
Our team ran undefeated all day and we placed 1st in the open division. Razzle had her little chance to shine in the very last race of the day. Being the confident little girl she is, I just kind of plunked her in start with one recall and one warmup run for the day and let her race! She did very well apart from chasing balls in the end zone. She ran 4 heats and clocked a 4.3. I expect she will only get faster as she gets some more time in the lanes which will be at u-fli in April.
Trek experienced his very first flyball tournament from the sidelines as was as good as gold winning over a few more fans!

A new family member?
Thursday March 05, 2009
On February 28th I travelled to London, Ontario to meet up with Shek’s owner. Shek is Razzle’s littermate. Karen (Shek’s owner) felt that he needed a job as he had not worked out for herding and agreed to allow me to take him into my home. He has adjusted very well. He’s very good with other dogs and loves tug games and is already quite the frisbee hound! I’ve decided to change his name just slightly to Trek...it’s easier for me to say and he responds well to it. He is a very handsome boy!

Sledding Fun
Thursday January 15, 2009
Last Sunday there was finally enough snow to try my new sled. Jake and Roo are old pros and I tried hooking up Razzle for the first time. She started off well, but then slipped her collar twice. Back in the house to tighten things up and out for a second try with just Jake. She did very well the second time and think she will catch on quickly to this new sport. Fixx had her first try in December and seems to be a natural. I look forward to getting one out again this weekend on our farm trails.
