Quirky Mattie! We love you but you are unique to say
the least. Mattie is a thinker which sometimes works to her
disadvantage. Mattie loves to play flyball, disc and swim, but
she loves and excels at agility. Mattie now has her Agility
Trial Champion of Canada Title (ATchC). She is my first agility
dog and has done extremely well.
I also tried Mattie on sheep this past
fall and she easily passed her instinct test. I hope to pursue
more sheep herding with Mattie in 2006. Mattie also does some
sledding with Jake and Roo even though she is not entirely fond of that sport.
She loves to play frisbee and would be a great little disc dog, but
she insists on hiding the disc rather than returning it to me.
Mattie and I do enter disc trials on occasion as she is quite the
crowd pleaser with her antics. We are slowly working towards her
DD title.
Mattie is the watchdog of the house and
would also like to be boss, but she must bow to the the little white
thing, Ruckus - much to her disappointment.
